Maybe I’ll try to track down the Michelin Acoustic version then.
I did ask about ‘down grading’ the car off 20” to 19” but they wouldn’t do it. The 18” aren’t available in NZ but I’ve thought about demanding they get me a set from the U.K.

I have a 1995 Daimler on 225/60 x 16s and it could teach any modern car on big low profile tyres a lot about ride and quiet. At 120 km/h it feels and sounds like 90 km/h. That is my benchmark.

Note that 18" wheels cannot be fitted to a T8 due to the larger brake calipers.

I got the 19" Tires (Momentum Spec) and they are better then the 20" noisewise ,but not great. Road noise is very much dependent on tarmac quality. Super quiet on smooth tarmac and incredible loud on bad tarmac. It is the one realy negativ thing I can say about the car.

As on specifying 19" on a new Inscription. I think that should be a discussion between you and your dealer. It is up to him to find a solution for you if Volvo does not.
