Volvo 940 estate sun roof seal
Desperately need a sun roof seal or full sunroof for my 1996 940 estate. Can anyone help me please? Thank you.

The sunroof seal itself doesn't stop water getting in, it's only there to reduce the water flow and act as a wind noise reducer. If you are getting water ingress, it's more likely to be one of the sunroof drains that's blocked and letting the water overflow?
If your seals is just falling apart, and it's just a seal you need, they apparently aren't available new anymore (I found this out when I asked for one on here for my old 760), so your only option is a used one as far as I know. There are a few cars being broken on Ebay just now, at least one has the entire moonroof out and for sale for something like £150. You could maybe get that, or he'd be able to take just the seal off? Don't think I'm allowed to post ebay links here, but you'll find it if you look for "volvo 940 breaking" or 960 or v90 breaking. |
