  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default lidl impact driver

anyone had a look at lidl impact driver 180nm , is that gonna be useful for stubborn nuts like suspension and crank nuts ? any
thoughts?

I bought a Clarke CIR220 from machine mart about 3 years ago.
Being at the cheaper end for an impact wrench, I expected it to be a bit naff & not last very long, but to be fair, it has served me well, even the NiCad batteries are still performing good !

For the kind of jobs you're considering, you need an impact wrench not an impact driver.
180Nm is a good figure and you can make an impact driver a wrench with attachments but you then lose a lot of its potency.

180Nm on an impact wrench is a bare minimum I would say for car work and even then, will leave you wanting on large seized bolts and crank pulley nuts or bolts.
