Default Squeaky windows on V50

Hello and thank you for reading this post.

My 2006 V50 has squeaky electric windows. They squeak as they are lowered and raised.

Any tips to get rid of the squeaking? Is there a lubrication point somewhere or another solution?

Thank you.

There are guides inside door or rails in which window glass sits and moves up or down. Those guides not visible from top, I think you need to open door cards to get access. Basically over time those guides accumulate dirt and dust from window and that causes squeak etc. As a solution, clean them , remove all dirt and may be lubricate a little.

Rarey, but sometimes it helps to spray silicone spray between the glass edges and the seals on both sides (not on the glass but glass edges). It clears the outer channels the glass travels trough and sometimes helps with movement. Unfortunately in most cases removing the door panels and properly lubricating the guides is the only remedy.
