Ok lesson leant, take more photos and write more notes.
Got 2 of these clips, from memory believe they were inside doors but can anyone throw any light on what they are for or where they go.
Photos even better.

John;

As I recall, it has something to do with securing the multiple piece Door panel/card on an 1800. Maybe you can get more detail from the exploded assembly diagrams on GCP.com site.

Good Hunting!

Hi John,
I'm fairly sure this clip holds the top door card to the door.
It fits on the lower edge of the top card , near the middle.
The small nib, between the two long prongs, fits into one of the holes on the door card, where normally you would fit a metal clip.
I can't remember how the clip is held onto the door, I think it's secured with a self tapping screw through the small hole in the clip, but I'm not 100% on that.
You should be able to work it out once it's being put back together
Sorry I haven't got any photos.

Hole thus helps,

Dave

John,
After having another think about it, the triangular end possibly lips over the edge of the metal door frame, and that's why they drop off.
The two long prongs provide a bit of tension to retain the nib in the door card.

Having just redone my trim I can tell you that the single prong pushes into the hole in the lower middle of the upper door card,( I put a bit of duck tape over it just to make sure it didn't drop out) then the lower 2 prongs go over the long metal strip that's attached to the back of the arm rests, this then pulls that top panel in nice and flush with the door.
