That is not a thing of beauty ! I wonder if the bid is a form of 'starting bid' and therefore just a marker as to where to start the bidding from?

I reckon it might be just that and withdrawn before the end of the auction.

Spoke with the guy (Vince)who seems quite amiable.
The car was converted by a previous owner at a garage called S&RBodyshop in Newton Aycliffe. Has the receipt for the work. He sent these pics of the reinforcing and I'm not sure that's up to standard. I would have at least like to see box section to replace the strength lost by the roof. The hood is a mess, presume to remove the need for the read D windows. Looks like something off a horse and cart. Probably with the right person the right shape and look could be recreated but I doubt if you would see much change out of £2K. I'm also not sure the paint stacks up, both in choice of colour and application. Painting the bumpers suggests hiding problems which begs the question what else is being hidden. I was going to look at it but decided against. If someone's interested I have Vince's email Russ |

This has now been re-listed. Normally that means at the same starting price or less. Started out at £19,000 and now re-listed at £23k and a buy it now of £25k! Only thing I like about it is the Ram Flo air filters, they look good but don't remember seeing them before on an Amazon/P1800.

You've seen this one, have you?
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C863497 I knew the owner in my local Brash Box and Classic Car Club. I think it's more credible than the ebay car.
