There was a black T4 V40 on Autortrader in Manchester this week, on LPG. All the phase 2 sporty bits and whilst not looking mint seemed honest enough.

116k, good MOT history, due a cambelt. It was up at £1250 and lasted less than a day before selling. ..Which p'd me off as I was going over with money in my pocket to buy it this w'end!!

Funny enough I recall seeing a LPG T4, I can't find it now. Might have been the same one.

I didn't pay for either of them. They came on a crash damaged T4 I broke for spares.
Have you driven the 2.0T? There's a 40hp difference, but 0-60 stats appear that be pretty close. I've found a lot more 2.0T's. Is it a different engine overall?

I've owned two 2.0Ts. They aren't bad but you do notice that 40bhp difference. The 2.0T feels quick but a stock T4 feels like a tuned car. That lag to 3000rpm then it kicks in and pulls away is addictive.

Go for a t4 if you want one. Don't settle for a 2.0t because you'll end up wanting the T4 anyway.

Tried to send a message to you Antz, however, don't have enough posts to do so! I'm currently closing in on a t4 at he moment (finally). Besides the obvious things is there anything in perticular I should look for when viewing it? It's a 00 with 142k on the clock (sort of a put off), cam belt has just been done and has some bubbling around the arches, which doesn't put me off that much. It's the only manual T4 I've managed to find for sale in about the two months I've been searching that's MOTD and with no issues.
