That is why you should apply a torque reduction factor of 0.8.

Always copperslip - every nut and bolt in sight (nearly).

I've bought the recommended part and there is no hole for an Allen key in the bolt. What do I do to tighten it??

The Meyle drop links I fitted had spanner flats just in front of the rubber boot to be used as a counter hold. Just be careful not to get the spanner trapped up against the brackets or you'll have to back the nut off and go again.

As above, you have to use a spanner to counterhold the Meyle droplinks. I would recommend a skinny/thin spanner, as a standard thickness spanner can actually unseat the rubber boots, and they can be fiddly to fit again. The spanners you get with bike repair kits are ideal, as they are thin and cater for different sizes of nuts.

Thank you so much. I see that now. Plenty of bike spanners in the garage!
