I have done this mod with the correct AutoLeads harness PC2-19-4 (with amp bypass leads) to convert to ISO wiring and connect to the existing loom and separately bypass the amp. It's a doddle.

The amp only feeds the front and rear doors. The front speakers are fed from the original radio via the existing loom if you have 6 speakers. The Autoleads harness also connects the new radio into the existing loom to feed the front speakers.

PS - forgot to say the other thing in the pic is the back of the multi-connector to the ignition switch. Nothing to do with the radio amp!
I have that exact harness which I used on my 940s

I was under the dashboard the other night and it is a mass of wires and stuff.
It looks as if the steering column is different on the 960 but I could be wrong.
It looks nothing like yours.

on late 760s and and pre 95 960s it is mounted on the left side of the steering column, should have one black DIN cable and one long multiplug. if you take the lower trim off, look at brake pedal, note where the brake light switch is, then just look further upwards along the column. there is the ABS unit there also

I found it!!!!!!
Only issue is that the previous owners said it only ever played on the dash speakers.
It comes clear now as it has been unplugged.
Once I plugged my cable in all 6 speakers work perfectly.
