Unhappy Headlamp unit_possible to fix rather than replace?

Got my S60 used, never wanted the Bi-Xenon headlamps but the car had it and back then I didn't know enough to avoid like the plague.

Recently, I've noticed the light looking funny on passenger-side. Discovered it's actually due to D1S xenon-bulb "flopping" about within the compartment. I've included a picture of what a claw-like bulb holder looks like in S60s equipped with Xenon system.

The picture shows you a claw-holder with all the metallic prongs intact. These prongs help to secure the bulb. All of mine save two have snapped off probably by people who've replaced bulbs over the years without actually knowing what they were doing. Now the bulb can no longer be held in place with any degree of robustness.

I'm still dumbfounded at why in the first place, xenon bulbs are held in place by such a horrid contraption. Apparently, it's not uncommon and can be found in other makes example, Audi etc ?

A new headlamp unit is £631.20. You can only get these with all bulbs etc minus the power-pack.

All I need is a fix for my claw-bulb holder, rest of lamp works fine.

Has anyone else had a similar problem, did you manage to find a solution?

Thank you!

My only solution would be to drill a couple of holes through the holder and use a cable tie, hard to see form the pic of that's possible though.
