Shakers find far more duff bushings than other methods do , trust me on that one .
Serious question - how?

The shaker plates are powered & do not rely on the poor MOT tester ( me probably ) levering away , the weight of the car swinging sideways can move a bush in ways i cannot manage by using a pry bar . As a tester I can stand back & see the whole area being worked , unnatural movement becomes evident very quickly . You can fire single movements of the plates or repeated movements both can be used to again observe unexpected movement in bushes . I have also witnessed a rear subframe moving when subjected to the shaker plates , something i would never have found using a pry bar
