Well I have just picked up my S70 from it's 70k service and the only unexpected thing was 3 x washer delivery valves. All cost less than £3 and there was no labour charge to fit so it doesn't bother me.
But what the hell are they, what do they do and why 3 not 4 (basing this on 2 for the windscreen and 2 headlamps). Cheers PS I am well chuffed that I have managed to get 60,000 miles out of a set of front brakepads and 70k out of the back. |

I think they're a sort of non return valve on the washer pipes, stops the pipe empting back to the tank..... I reckon you only had 3 beacause:
1. You only needed 3 or 2. There are 2 for the screen & 1 for the lamps Just some musings........ ;) Jim, '96 855-R (The Flying Wardrobe) |

I will go with that. I had one of these non-return valves fail and until I replaced it wondered why the washer jets were so pathetic.
