P1800 Fuel Tank
I've got problems with fuel pickup from my tank. I've had water problems in the tank in the past and may well have some corrosion. I've got an inline filter and I can see air coming through the fuel line as well as the petrol.
Its been suggested that the fuel pickup in the tank may have corroded at the bottom. Is there a fix for this or do I need a new tank. And if I need a new tank - has anyone got any leads for a good second hand one or a new one. PS I'm also looking for a fuel cap cover. Thanks Mike |

Mike,
Brookhouse Volvo sell new tanks , (volvo part) and the flap is re manufactured. Not cheap, but at least you can get new and will be guaranteed. Dave |

I bought a Brookhouse tank for my Amazon earlier this year. Found it so much lighter than the original. Believe they are now made in Taiwan (what the tin literally said). For such a crucial part, a tank change should be standard procedure after 50 years. Never quite realised how addicted I was to the smell of fuel until after the tank changeover. :-)

I bought one from Brookhouse too. Quite a simple swap-over and much safer than trying to repair the existing tank.......
