thanks for info i have had new engine mounts,software updat,fuel filter,vnt governor,air intake pipe,4 smoke and presser test,now having turbo governor valve fitted,

The rubber air inlet pipe on the turbo can go soft and collapse and block of air flow for a brief second The EGR valve can stick open ( Normally very reliable ) vacuum supply from the pump can be weak , must be higher than 25 in/hg the turbocharger vane rings can stick in the turbocharger . A faulty Air mass meter , but unlikely .

Hi Clan, thank you for your response,do you think a treatment with turbo cleaner will help,as once the first limp mode, first thing in the morning it runs perfect, i will look for a air hose how large a pipe am i looking for

Hi Clan,sorry to be an old pain but thinking about this vacuum thing being week, when it goes into limp mode I do notice a change in the braking being much firmer until the limp is cleared, i think i will get this unite changed ,

I had similar problems and fixed it by cleaning the turbo with Mr Muscle as in post #18 above. Also see

That could be a faulty servo leaking all the vacuum away from the turbo control valve . You need to do some more tests .
