Default 2009 Volvo V50 D5 Update

Just thought I'd give an update on my Volvo ownership for those who are tempted by a V50

I bought the V50 3 and a bit years ago with 23k miles on the clock and now has just over 118k.

It has been driven around England, France and Germany and I still love driving it. Only mechanical issues have been a faulty sensor on the exhaust causing the engine to go into "limp mode" and recently a replacement condenser for the air conditioning.

I have replaced cambelt ahead of time as a precaution and it has flown through MOTs.

Can confirm that the low powered headlights issue has been commented on by passengers, and the car does seem to blow light bulbs, but no other issues.

The engine is superb - I understand that the 59 plate engine is a good unit - and the car shifts when needed (trips on the autobahn are great fun!).

MPG has been constant between 45-47 mpg (Vpower Diesel mainly).

Interior of the cabin and electrics have been good so far - only my drivers seat stitching has split slightly - but it scrubs up well.

Would recommend this model - and am looking forward to the next 118k miles!!
