Paddles interfere with wheel turning when manoeuvring until you get used to them - wife complained. Paddles do provide gear override without having to put gear stick into an override mode but with so many gears you are best off just leaving it to the car. The only time I find it useful is engine breaking. I think polestar beats it in all cases other than coasting into a roundabout or a t junction where you want a gear lower than logic might assume. This vs heated steering wheel is a no contest for me. Can r design be "downgraded" to standard heated steering wheel?
I looked for this option too..

R-Design can not have a heated steering,
Even in the car configurator when you select R - Design it comes up with just one Steering wheel option.

Would be better if they can make this a bit more flexible.
