S40 (New) Engine 2.0D : - Turbo Kick In?

At what RPM does the turbo kick in on my engine, car pulls well but I just don't feel the point where it kicks in like previous turbo diesels I've owned.....

What engine? If its the 2.0D its variable geometry and kicks in based on throttle position. It will pull best from about 1800 up though.

Yes was going to say its more spread across the rev range than all in one go.
