I thought I would wait another 10 days before coming back to you. Yes the same immobiliser code keeps logging, yes as per your advice I have ignored it and yes she starts first time every time ! Your advice greatly appreciated, many thanks ( again ). |

Hi Bigfella666
Have read the full thread but am not clear. Was it the new coil that fixed the problem? Thanks Steve

Steve
I do not in fact know what solved the problem as the coil is still at Braydon's waiting for me to pick it up ! I thought the thread might assist, especially if once you have the CPS hooked up you then try earthing a spare plug and see where that takes you - as Chris Rogers has advised she will not start without the CPS fitted and in working order. Despite me getting the error code for failed CPS she still would not start when replaced but has done every time since with the listed parts changed. I would not be at all surprised if the coil at 160k is breaking down and part of the cause, which is why I am going to replace it in any event. |
