using a mutli meter is tricky, you can get readings from 8v to 11.5 v, very quickly so a bulb is better..i would expect a 12v bulb to give some reaction with 8v thru them tho.....you dont have to go for anything fancy ..less that a quid from maplins, just make sure it is 12v and you will not need resistors The anode of a device is the terminal where current flows in. The cathode of a device is the terminal where current flows out. cheers jod
