I have Nokian Z Line summer tyres (on my C30 admittedly), really pleased with them. Good in the wet in particular (important in Scotland...), not massively pricey and they don't wear out as quickly as some other tyres I've had. Can be a difficult brand to find though.

Testing performed by EVO leaves me quite convinced - I should think that they know what they are doing. ContiSportContact 5 it is then!! Decision made. Cheers for all your input Gents...

I don't know their method of testing doesn't seem that great also I had Pirelli P Zero on the car before the Primacy 3 and quite frankly they were shocking....

P Zeros hadn't been developed much since their early iterations aiui. Clearly that seems to have been addressed.
Evo's annual tyre test is regarded as one of the most thorough in the industry and particularly relvant t o real world driving by the enthusiast. |

Agree, Uniroyal Rainsports are excellent. I'm also a fan of Vredestein Ultrac

I have the Goodyear F1's on my C70 as well and they are very impressive.

Looking at some Nokian zLine in 215/45 r17 for 17x7.5j comets. The UniRoyal rainsport 3's I fitted about a year ago have been unbeatable in the wet, good in the dry and very quiet/nothing untoward in the fuel/drag department.
But hell they have worn fast, helped in part due to front end problems that no garage can find, 4 sets of alignment done in the past 12-18 months and each one varies wildly to the next. I.e. today a local national just did it, then drove up the road to the other one and shows the front wheels as being 4 degree's out in toe to each other (massive). Would get rainsports again, but I feel I'm doing exactly the same as I did last year which is fitting borderline winter, wet weather tyres at the beginning of the dry season. |

Just thought I would follow up on this thread seeing as I was the one who started it...
As of today I've now got a new set of 225/45 ContiSport 5's on my C70. Now I obviously can't compare them to all the other tyres that were suggested in this thread, but I can say that they are absolutely awesome! Off came a set of old Falken's, and on the new Conti's which have them beat on every single account. The ride is both a lot more quiet, but somehow it manages to also be both more comfortable yet also offer a lot more traction. Where the old Falkens would scramble and scrub while struggling to find traction when pressing on a bit, the Conti's just grab and go. Less torque steer is bliss... I'm certainly a happy Conti customer!
