Autoexpress T8 review

New T8 review posted on AutoExpress just recently.

Good to see that Volvo has a second T8 demonstrator on the fleet - I was starting to get slightly bored of the White Inscription T8 used in all the other reviews!

volvo claims "up to" 35 miles on electric charge, which takes 2 1/2 hours to replenish.

Clive Sinclair was 30 years ahead of his time

You needn't ever step foot into the car to write that review. So very un-informative.
Claims about D5 being more frugal if T8 is rarely plugged are again recycled from the past guesses and do not seem to be supported by real evidence. I rarely get past 30mpg on my D5 on 20m+ trips and 27.5 average (was 30 average in the warm in September). T8 people who don't charge seem to be reporting low 30s. I bet that car is a lot more efficient for short low speed trips where most xc90 are used, even in hybrid mode as it doesn't strain the main engine to get the big lump rolling.
