Default Upgrade to auto locks and/or windows

anyone ever gone to automatic locks or windows with a car that never had it? I know a guy with plenty old 240's so I would be striping from an existing set up.
is this all very possible? what's a good way to test either, assuming the donor car is without ability to do anything at all. I should bring a battery ..

you mean electric windows and central locking?

if so i believe everything is just plug and play. if you find a car with both just swap everything over to your car. it should bolt straight on.

yep that is what I mean. that's great news. I'm a bit hazy on the parts involved, maiinly the central motor that makes them work. do you know the location of either? in other words all the power window lines run to one (?) and all the lock boxes run to a central (?)

thanks-

No, there's a separate solenoid in each door to operate the locks and a separate motor for each window.

Kind regards
Lucien

Thanks Lucien, I guess what I'm wondering is, at what point do the lines join forces to make their final journey to the fuse panel.
