WANTED: V60 T5 or T4
I'm thinking of replacing my ageing V70 D5 and am looking for a petrol-engined V60 T5 or T4 (manual 'box only - not an automatic), ideally in SE or SE Lux trim. I appreciate that there are very few of these around but if anyone either has or knows of one for sale then I'd be grateful if you'd let me know.
Thanks Mike |

Very rare indeed. T3's are more 'plentiful', although not many of those either.
What is your budget? What year are you looking for? A T3 150 can be polestarred to T4 180 output, so may be an easier option? Regards |

Took me a while to find my T4 manual. Ideally I would have gone for a T5 as the T4 feels a little lacking in torque. 180bhp but it never quite feels like it.
The upside is that driven gently it is capable of almost 50mpg on motorway runs. The T5 looks to be significantly less efficient. I have a search set up on Autotrader that emails me every time a T4 or T5 appears on their website. In the past 6 months there has been the grand total of 1 T5, and about 5 T4's. Good look with your search, you'll find one eventually. |

Thanks for the comments.
I hadn't appreciated that there's a Polestar upgrade for the V60 T3 so this could be be worth looking into if I can't track down a T5 or T4. The comment about the T4's performance is interesting though - I've got very used to the torque of my current D5 (163 bhp) so am really after something with at least similar performance in terms of in-gear acceleration. At the moment, I'm in no great hurry to change so I'll keep on looking and hope that something turns up. Regards Mike |

A t5 has appeared on autotrader today, but it's r-design spec, and comes without bluetooth. Also looks a bit pricey.

Thanks for the heads-up about the car on Autotrader. As you say, it is an R-design rather than SE/SE Lux but there just aren't many around irrespective of the spec. In fact, there's what looks to be a T5 SE Lux being sold on EBay for salvage at the moment so there are even fewer now!
