I think I can help with the PAS Pump, just need to know what side the alternator is on, but I think the mounting bracket is the same, regardless. ET as far as I am aware the alternator should be beside the oil filter.

Clutch cylinders will be the same as 940's, and in tank pump, well.... Good luck. Check the connections on the top of the pump, I found the earth rusted off mine, but that was after I found a replacement pump lol

Thanks for the informative reply my fellow Bangor resident. After nine years of nagging me my Bangor born and bred wife finally persuaded me to relocate from the sunny isle of wight to this town which I have never seen dry!

I will look out for your car. A few RWD Volvos around here I see.

I flushed my steering fluid today which has lightened my steering slightly and I've to check the belt tension too but I suspect the pump is tired.

My under the car fuel pump has been buzzing away rightly (Irishisms creeping in already!) for over a year and I have a replacement to fit when I get around to it but if the in tank is tired or failed then the new one is going to be overworked from the outset. I ran a pair of 240s once both with buzzing main pumps! I will check the connections as you suggest.

Regards.

Jon in not so sunny Bangor
