Default Volvo V50 R-Design Cargo Cover

Afternoon all,

I've searched the forum and google but not found what I'm looking for as yet. My car ( '57 V50 D5 SE Sport R-Design) did not come with a retractable cargo cover when I bought it. I would imagine this was an optional extra perhaps?

My car seats are the split colour black and white leather, does anyone have an image of what colour the matching cargo cover should be please so I can try and hunt one down, avoiding the massive cost of one from the dealers?

As a sneaky side question too - is it possible to retro fit (with a software update or similar) a trip computer as mine at the moment just shows the "Messages" when a bulb goes and the temperature. Would be lovely to have more useful data on there! I imagine this again would be an optional extra?

Many thanks in advance.

The R-Design had the standard grey cargo cover - nothing fancy

As for the trip computer, it is possible, but its a dealer only software download at nearly £300, plus possible stalk replacement depending on model.

Not really worth it in my view. I just used a blue tooth OBD2 reader and a copy of torque app.

Hi Steve, thanks for the quick response. That looks fine thanks, I wasn't sure if there was a colour specific on for my car but I guess it doesn't matter too much. Too bad it's collection only - 330 miles is a bit far for me to travel I'll keep an eye out for closer ones though now I know what to look for.

That's a crazy price! Does strike me as penny pinching that all variations of the car don't have this feature. I do also have a bluetooth obd2 connector and Torque, would just have been nice to have a record of fuel consumption in the car itself. At the moment I'm using Fuelly to track it all (Yes, I need to get out more) lol.

Thanks again for the helpful info and link.

You could organize for it to be collected and delivered to you by someone like hermes, they are quite reasonable! maybe the seller would be kind enough to package it somehow for protection? This of course if you happened to bid and win!

Be careful. The earlier cars had a slightly different type (see http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-V50-...item43e4138a59) and I don't know if they'd fit your car.
