Smile 440 foot brake problem

hi, guys. can someone give me a bit advice on the brakes on my 1995 1.6 li ?the brakes were fine when i laid it up in march. problem is when i start it up & press the brake pedal( slight hiss under dash ) there is nothing until about 1 " from the bottom.then brakes work. ive bled the brakes via a sealey easy bleed , 3 times with new fluid, but with no luck ! im thinking its the master cylinder seals ? or servo air leak. thanks, steve.

Hi Steve,

Just amateur advice, but have you been under the car to have a look at the four corners for the condition of the lines?

Next I would look at the actual master cylinder under the bonnet. The condition of the calipers and sliders, are they ok?

While the engine is off, pump the brakes till they are solid. Start the car, whilst holding the pedal, it should sink ever so slightly if it dosent, its a vaccume issue or a master cylinder issue.
