Vovlo Bonnet Emblem/Hood Ornament
I used to have one, but it came off (stolen most likely).
This is a good pic of the original emblem. I sprayed the one I bought to match the trim... Just can't find one online anywhere and I'm a bit desperate. I'm getting married in a month and I'm using the 240 as the wedding car. I really want to tie bows from the roof rack to the emblem. If anyone has seen anything like it I'd love to hear about it. Cheers. |

I've never seen one of those, and never seen a bonnet with a hole indicating one was ever fitted.
It does look like an open invitation to nick it, and rather silly in my opinion. |

Used to see them on a well known on-line auction site, never been tempted to buy one though !

I've not seen one before not my cup of tea but Volvos are for living no matter what your tastes are and certainly not the worse thing I've seen stuck to a Volvo a chap local to me has a 760 saloon covered in decals and a mustang grille badge glued to his bonnet, good luck in your quest and a great wedding car sir congrats for the big day when it comes.

Thanks for the help.
I know it's maybe not to everyone's taste. I thought it looked quite good. It wasn't permanently mounted, so was probably even more theft bait. Lasted a few years though. I've contacted the seller above, and I'm just hopeful. Thanks. |

Speaking obviously for myself. most things "done to" 240s are not to my exact taste! LOL That mascot did look neat. And as a temporary mounting point to decorate a 240 for a wedding? Go for it if you can!
Good luck finding a replacement. Please tell us the result of your search. I wish you a lovely wedding and a good marriage. . Last edited by Stephen Edwin; Jul 24th, 2015 at 14:21. |
