Volvo rubber or poly?
I have always used rubber near-side back swing arm. All others OK on the front.
The solution after many relacements was always use a NEW Volvo lock nut! I have used poly on the rear front swing arms some years ago. Have a clunk there now, but not dignosed yet. Poly are really easy to install and replace BrianH 500k + |

I recently replaced mine because they were perishing. My car had the originals in it with 25,000km (no, that's not missing a "0"). So it already drove like a new car, but does once again with new rubber bushings.
So it depends what you prefer - a car that gives a soft comfortable ride with rubber ones, or "jars" you a little more with poly but less suspension flex. Poly are easier to remove/replace though. |

well Ive ordered the Poly bush ones as Ive had trouble finding rubber ones
like you've said above poly bush looks easier to fit and seeing as there is no bush left ( yep the arm has 15mm of movement either way but the MOT guy only pulled it up as an advisory saying the the ball joint needed doing soon ! :-S ) I'm sure it can only improve the ride and handling
