I did a search and nothing answered my question. Will wheels off a 97 s70r fit? i believe they are comet alloys, i dont mind spacers if needed to fit them. if not what other modern volvo wheels fit ?

They should fit as the stud pattern will be the same 5x108mm. It the offset will be different as the s70 is fwd so you will need spacers.

Any 240,740 or 940 wheels will fit straight on.

You will need spacers with most of aftermarket wheels for the 240! Unless you're lucky enough to find some with the correct offset for a decent price and that look half decent!

Spacers can cost a small fortune for the proper balanced ones

Are you sure about the 740? I scrapped a 740 with brand new tyres - I was told they wouldn't fit my 240.

That's very sad. Wheels from all rear wheel drive cars (disc brake rear axle cars from about 1970 onwards) except the very last 960 types, will bolt straight up to the 240.
