Default whiteblock

You want the M90L2 from 97/98 940. M90H2 is a whiteblock one! Did your not have one? How can you tell which one it is. I think only late 97/98 B230FK had them. I'm going down the scrappers soon, I'll have a butcher's for you.

Default M56?

If it's just the cogs/ratios you are after would it not be easier to find a FWD M56 gearbox to strip for it's internals?

is the M90 fitted to a diesel basically the strong one or the weak one?
the VW bellhousing might be a pain though.
