Tough act to follow the first gen car but I think that have done a great job and I like it a lot. For me, its a fresh design with enough Volvo cues and the interior looks fantastic with the de-cluttered theme. I also think Volvo are offering something genuinely different with their engines and I hope that the strategy works and secures the companies future.

Global newsroom the twin engine or t8 will have around 400 bhp not just a little over 300 again direct from volvo.

Meh looks like every other soft roader... Was never that keen on the old one really but it looks far better than this. The only part that looks semi-ok to me is the rear three-quarters view, but the back looks pretty poor direct on to me.

My younger brother is forever saying Volvos look like Audi's... this doesn't help.

Obviously this is the new D5. Power of 225 seems a bit "low" for the size of the XC90 and one can only hope that Volvo will bring out another, more powerful D5 sooner rather than later.
