Shoot the marketing department
Just been on the Volvo.uk homepage to check out the c30 and possibly book a test drive (not yet ). Decided to try and build my own c30 to see what it looked like in the perfect world.
WHAT THE HELL. There is some sort of super wierd intro with crazy things and bright colours. I know that Volvo are trying to attract a new younger market but they seem to be targeting 4 yr olds. They should look at what other car manufacturers are doing to attract a given market rather than going down the crazy route. I imagine there target market would be the ipod generation and if you look how thats marketed you (which works well) can see we appreciate stark contrasts in colours like black on white or black on another bright colour. Im no marketing executive but it looks like a 4 in the morning "I know lets do some wierd crap" then they all packed up and went home. I dont know what you guys think but I hope they are not going to advertise it on TV in a similar fashion
