Old member back with new car and problem already
Hello all, not been on here a while
I have just purchased a v70 d5 2002. I have a cpl of issues, 1.the drivers side electric seat does not work at all 2,the sunroof doesn't open at all Also there is a message showing airbag service urgently required I've not checked anything yet I'm obviously oing to start with fuses etc. Also what is the recommended service interval and suggested oil please? Looking forward to being a member of the forum Regards Gav |

I would guess that the airbag light and seat are related, have a check under seat, as wiring can get dislodged, and would potentially stop seat working and throw air bag light.
however get someone with a Dice to read codes, rather than guessing, and you will be that or something similar to clear airbag light |

For the oil grade, a 0W/30 meeting A5/B6 would be ideal.
Interval is up to you but probably best at 12,000 miles maximum. |

I'd argee with looking at the seat wiring - although you'll need vida to reset the srs light once the fault is fixed.
The sunroof issue has been known to be caused by a failing alarm siren module as they are both connected via the UEM. Try and pull the alarm fuse, 38 (i think) in the drivers side dash panel and see if it springs to life. |
