code 233 is normally intake leak/blockage, IAC valve, throttle valve adjustment,or wiring fault ...

also got code 212 aswell
so 233 and 212 are the codes ive checked for air leaks but there isn't any anywhere ive replaced the manifold with new gasket and checked this for leakage not leaking could a faulty maf sensor be the cause |

Codes are listed here:
http://volvospeed.com/volvo_repairs_..._codes_a2.html Seems like a fuel trim issue at idle and a lambda sensor signal problem which could be related, induction air leaks are usually due to this: http://volvospeed.com/volvo_repairs_...uum_lines.html But usually produce code 232/231, resetting them and seeing what happens is probably the best initial approach. |

turns out the code was caused by a faulty idle control valve
replaced this with another known good one and the code has not yet reapeared |
