Which v70 should i buy
Over the years I have had a D-reg Volvo 340, a G-reg 740 Estate and I currently have a an 04-V40 1.9 TD SE. I am now thinking of changing it for a manual diesel V70 - probably 04 or newer with under 120k miles if possible.
However, which model V70 should I be looking at it terms of economy and reliability? I favour fel economy over va va voom! What sort of fuel consumption might I expect? Cheers Tim

Probably better off posting this in the newer V70 section, the V70's in this section are all a few years older than you're looking at...

Hi Tim, this is probably a bit too late for you by now, but I have a 2006 V70 petrol 2ltr which I had converted to LPG a few years ago. The dashboard says I am averaging 28 mpg over the past year. However as it runs on LPG which costs around 67p/ltr, (even cheaper at the Metro Centre,)this means I am averaging over 50 mpg. It is a superb all round vehicle, it's done 139,000 and is as sweet as it always has been. I used to tow a 1.5 ton trailer with ease and with no problems running on LPG. So to summarise, I love my 2ltr petrol/LPG V70 estate.
