Thumbs down 121 throttle pedal

My 121 is suffering from a rattle from the pedal when the car is ticking over and your foot is not on the pedal. There is play on the pivot on the pedal rest. Any advice or a cure would be great.
Thanks

I find greasing the moving parts reduces this, perhaps try this and making sure your idle is as smooth as possible (correct revs, carbs balanced, points and plugs serviced) first before exploring more radical solutions!

I get this as well, and it's annoying on long journeys. I traced the rattle to where the pedal meets its mounting, and I'm wondering if I could just cushion it, provided the cushioning didn't get in the way of the travel. I have lubed it in the past without much success, and to be honest, even if your carbs are totally balanced you still shouldn't get this cheap rattle. Let's banish the rattles!
