Ok so this is the car we've acquired from aunt. It now has 45k on clock since my son brought it back from Weston to Norwich.
You can just see the small rust patch bottom left of rear screen which looks easy to deal with. Ok all was fine but clutch pedal couldn't be adjusted and was slipping so new clutch and for safety new cambelt and aux belt. Flywheel needed grinding and new cv joint - sold a kidney to pay for it but car drives sublimely. This will be cared for and may well end up with some 480 or 440 alloys on it later when funds allow. Inside unmarked............... |

Thats a really nice 440, my turbo used to be as red as that, its more of a ratrod faded pink lol.
I keep spying unused 400 series round mine in various states of disrepair, just sitting around. One is a permanant feature in cranham caravans, another 480 in grays and I spy one sitting under a cover down front lane...gonna put a letter through owners door to see if I can get it off him at somepoint The J reg 440 turbo has had new headgasket put in this weekend, new manifold gasket, turbo seals and redone the turbo bearings and a new impelar thingy (Hopefully iv balanced it correctly) next month I need to get water pumo, belts and pulleys and hoses. Detailed my purple monster hehe love the brand new back bumper.

Well - alternator finally gave up and positive connector to battery cracked and broken. Alternator did work but perhaps with little use over the years it just gave up. Battery was only at 9V when I got to garage and chap was amazed I'd managed to get it there! Low revs was the trick.
New alternator and 24hrs trickle charge to battery + new terminal connector and all's well for £200. Hopefully that was the last of the bills........................ |

Job's a good-un
Perhaps you should start a thread in the showroom section. That's where we keep a running thread on our cars with pictures, the more involved ones in Project Volvo. Steve
