I have now had my complete throttle body housing completely replaced and so far have had no problems although it has only been a week.
I will look at the printout I was given by my specialist tomorrow and let you know what he found.
Apparently Volvo are aware of a problem with the thottle body, hence they brought out a dampener modification for the car.
Hope this info helps.

Thanks for the information. I would imagine that the throttle body housing is not cheap to replace, even if I do the work myself (assuming it doesn't require any computer resetting nonsense). Has Volvo modified the housing or could the problem could recur at a later date with the new housing?
