S40 2.0 auto SE

I went with my friend Eric, six years ago to my local Volvo dealer Ray Chapmans [very local] to purchase this is S40 which was a one owner in excellent condition. Sadly Eric is no longer with us, as a young man he was 'Mosquito' Navigator, he has now gone to meet his adversaries. At the age of 82 i finally weaned him of Jaguars.
This meant the specification had to be similar, Leather trim, automatic, heated seats, air con, etc. As soon as he bought the car i put it up on the ramp and clear waxed it underneath, as it would be long term ownership.
I took the car for its mot in December, and as a precaution for a new owner, i have just had the cam belt and kit changed. [Receipt with car].
So this car has full service history only two owners, none smokers, no pets, mot until December. Tax end March. Excellent tyres,{ spare wheel never fitted] wants for nothing. Colour code is 15. Mileage 76,000. Price £2250 Quite a car for the money.

It's a nice car and everything but, it's a lot of money. Last year I bought a 2001 1.6 S (which I know doesn't have all the extras) but, it only had one owner from new, was really well looked after, in good condition, etc and it had only covered 44,000 miles and it cost me £400.

Admittedly, I think that car was worth more than £400 but, it is possible to get an S/V40 in very good condition/low mileage for less money than you're asking.

Nice car Paul, but as said already, a bit pricey.

I wouldn't expect to pay money like that on a sales forecourt these days.

Good luck with the sale though.
