Fitting bigger wheels doesn't fill the arches, as the tyre wall decreases as the wheel diameter increases, leaving the overall circumference the same, give or take a small percentage. If you fit tyres with bigger tyre walls, they will fill the arches, but your speedo will be out of calibration, by a long way. Lowering the car is really the only way to get the arches filled. Gary

I need to do some bidding I think lol, those wheels that went on ebay, would look good if you did a euro style volvo, like the veedub boys,Gary the Orion looked mint when it was modded shame the old ford days have gone ,I had a cavalier Sri in gunmetal grey and that was a good car only had it for 7 months thou so couldn't tell you what long term ownership was like,I did a swap with a mate for a zr2i the rounder shape.everyone back then was into there swaps lol,I'm happy with the volvo nowadays it's got enough poke and is reliable a lot less tatting around thats for sure, nice set of alloys and it will look good .

It was in Moonraker blue and previously belonged to the boss of the Royal Bank of Scotland. It was a winner of best in class previously, but it started to surrender to the tin worm. Garaged it for about six years, then bought the XK last year. His wife said either the SD or the XK had to go. Bye bye Rover. Gary
