1999 V40 T4 For Repairs or Sales
Hi fellow Volvo people
First thing please dont private message me on here as I cannot respond in this way as I do not have enough posts to do so under forum rules.... I am selling my T4 as since a recent MOT have had problems with the car and dont want to get involved with any further costs. Ideal for a Volvo mechanic as the problems are with the lamda sensor light illuminated...plug in analysis says MAF but I dont know for sure. 3 owners from new loads of main dealer and other service history to around 65K .......milage is 94k genuine.... excellent runner before this problem absolute flyer but now however it is running and able to be driven , but the poor car seems asthmatic now and developed the occasional cough and splutter at high rpm and also poor idling...stalls a lot... it either needs TLC from new owner or broken for donor parts. All tyres 16" very good Pirelli P600s... alloys not good ...body has few bumper scuffs etc but reasonable for age.... panasonic cd radio...have the original radio cassette if interested..interior very good for age Other problem which has occurred in this last week is it has suddenly developed a spongy brake pedal so because of these two issues its got to go. Best to email me for my telephone number and I can give more information you might want as required ..... E-mail jheddwyndavies@googlemail.com Asking price £295 ovno a great repair prospect as it has a long mot and would be roadworthy again with some attention to these two issues or as a breaker for someone with the capability to do so and sell the parts. Location Carmarthen West Wales...Near Swansea Thanks H Here are some photos Attachment 70871[ATTACH]70876[/ATTACH 2014-02-26 16.44.02.jpg2014-02-26 16.43.44.jpg 2014-02-26 16.43.03.jpg2014-02-26 16.42.43.jpg 2014-02-26 16.41.59.jpgAttachment 70872 Attachment 70873Attachment 70874 Last edited by Heddwyn Davies; Feb 26th, 2014 at 17:27. |

I would be very interested in a few parts if you are breaking the car.
Otherwise, if it weren't for the distance i would probably buy the whole car.

Hi mate. Why not put on a new MAF? Or at least try a couple of used ones. It sounds like it is probably the cause of most of the symptoms you describe.
