Default 3.31 Rear axle, Diff or CWP Wanted

I am after a 3.31 Rear Axle or failing that I will take a CWP and put it into a 240 axle I already have.

Let me know what you have.

Still looking. Will also consider a 3.54 ratio. Anyone?

Default ratio

What ratio are you taking out?
Maybe someone would swap.

Hi

I dont have one to take out. I need a complete axle or at least the bits to build one with the required ratio.

This is for a current project that will soon be on hold till I can sort the rear end.

You'd need to research it to check, but I think a 164 diff would fit in the 240 casing. Many 164s were automatic, and I believe that most 164 autos had the 3.31.

Paul (Audrey Old on here) had a lead on a 164 auto axle late last year. Might be worth sending him a message.

John your knowledge was very helpful. I have managed to find a 164 auto axle so the project is now full steam ahead. Thank you.

You're welcome.

Could you let us know if it definitely fits and works OK... useful info for the memory bank!
