urgent help needed, radio code.....
Hi to all, I have a radio problem. Had to fit a new battery to my v70 over the weekend. Tried to input the code in the hand book but it won't accept it. Been to volvo and they told me that the radio I have in my car is not the original and the previous owner has changed it and without the original details off the car it came out off they can't help. Is there anyway of getting a code or do I need to get a new radio. Any help would be fantastic.
Chris.

This section of the forum covers the later V70 where the radios are not coded. You should have been given a code with the replacement radio I would have thought, but try asking in this section instead & you'll probably find someone more familiar with your model:

.....and to make like even easier, read post 229 on this thread (in the classic V70 section) http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...=73410&page=23

Hi
Sometimes if a replacement radio has been fitted from a scrap yard the code is sometimes written on a sticker on the radio casing. Worth a look. Iain |

Any good radio/tv repair shop should be able to re-code the radio for you. Only takes a few minutes when the radio is out of the car.
