Pricey
That's the first one I have seen up close. Always thought it was just a badge that was stuck on. However appears it WAS a badge that was stick on then a sand cast taken from this. What I do like is the groove on the flage. May consider this for mine then fit 'O Ring' strip. Russ |

Wow! That is a new high water mark for the price on one of those.... I had seen one crack the $500 level but now we are up to $570!
ltd840-You are correct there were some made that simply had a pocket cast into them for you to glue on a badge from a 240. This was how IPD got around Volvo being upset with them for using the 'Volvo' name with out paying for it. As of now IPD is not making any due to pour quality castings and failling demand in the vintage cars. But if someone is still looking for one of these, I've got at least one spare like the auction and one 'Volvo-ipd' one. They are great at keeping the oil in the engine. I have others on my own cars... Chris |

These two have not been cleaned up. The 'VOLVO' one needs to have a glued gasket removed from it and they need a bit of paint striper and a wash to look as nice as the one on ebay.
I was in a bit of a hurry this morning so I didn't get an exact weight for shipping cost but I can figure that out this evening or take more detailed photos if you wish. Chris |
