Beware - If you fit a Non-IR screen you will need to change the rain sensor too. There are 2 versions, IR and Non-IR.

The answer I received was that it's NOT a tint (then what's the IR for?) and it's simply a material, with no heat rejection properties, in between the two windscreen layers. Hmm ...
