  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Beware - If you fit a Non-IR screen you will need to change the rain sensor too. There are 2 versions, IR and Non-IR.

Yeah and the same dealer first told you it was due to an aftermarket tint when buying the car.

Many dealers will say anything to take your money and get rid of you and yours looks like one of them!

Unfortunately you may be right ...

Got the windscreen replaced under insurance coverage. Looks like a new car. No more blemishes around the corners

I can see the edges of the film inside the windscreen.

Now, the interesting bit. I asked the dealer about the windscreen and the film inside it, whether it's a tint and has any infra red rejection or similar heat rejection properties.

The answer I received was that it's NOT a tint (then what's the IR for?) and it's simply a material, with no heat rejection properties, in between the two windscreen layers. Hmm ...
