Communication with Steering Angle Sensor / ABS / Anti-Skid
Dash Warnings: “ABS/Anti-Skid Service Required” ABS warning symbol on right.
“Brake Assist Service Required” ‘car is skidding’ triangle light lights & flashes even when Traction Control turned off. Car drives OK when Traction Control turned off. Error Codes indicated Steering Angle Sensor (clock spring) – so replaced. Also replaced module under Steering Angle Sensor. Various diagnostic messages, mainly centring around failure to communicate with steering angle sensor. Therefore main dealer can not programme SAS or module to the car. Any ideas as to where communications problem is? Now in 3rd day at main dealer ! Please help. V70 2004 D5 165,000 miles otherwise: perfect plus condition Thanks, Nic |
