I noticed today that one side of the high level brake light was loose in the spoiler of my 2001 V70. I had assumed I was going to need some epoxy but when I took the caps off, quite a lot of rust fell out and when I checked, both bolts had corroded almost to nothing.
I have tried a search of the forum but can't see a mention of this. Is it a common issue and, if so, does anyone have a removal method less painful than trying to undo what's left with some needle nose mole grips or drilling the screw out and cleaning the thread in the spoiler? |

I've just fitted mine, but having just read this, I'll slap some Waxoyl on the two screws. Probably, the caps don't help as they are not a tight fit so will allow water in quite readily.
