No power to windscreen washer pump on v70
My 1998 v70 windscreen washer pump stopped working intermittently and then died so I suspected the pump and removed it. When I tested the pump on the bench it worked perfectly so I checked the wiring connecter and am only getting 0.05 Volts. I have replaced the wiper stalk and still no washer pump.
Is there a relay? and if so where is it located and how can I identify it. The wipers and horn work so its not the fuse. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Yes, the relay is on the relay board at the back of the dash at the drivers side.
You have to really drop the bottom part of the dash panel on drivers side (2 mins to do this) to allow access. The relay is on the top row third from the left. Unfortunately the top row is the most awkward to gain access to but if your able to add another stalk you should be able to manage this no problem. You could simply try another relay or/and you could put a live feed down terminal 4 (with relay removed) and this should make the washer pump activate. |
