Default Making 4wd permanent

Hey y'all!

So...i learned today that the 4wd system isn't permanently on. This correct? Bit gutted, but just another challenge - making it permanent.

Is there a way to bridge or connect something so the 4wd i permanently engaged?

i guess you could get a couple of spare prop flanges and weld in a piece of tube to the exact size of the viscous coupling and then remove it?

I'm guess something of that order.

Unless you fit something like an LSD inlue of the viscous coupling you will end up destroying the angle box or less likely the gearbox - Mike

These cars are permanent 4wd, 95% Front - 5% Rear, when grip is lost at the front upto 95% can be sent to the back... According to Volvo that is!

ah right fair enough. not really an option then? thats unfortunate really...but ah well. what tells it to engage then? when it loses traction there's a viscous coupling that engages?
