Default LPG conversion?

I use my Volvo V70 estate (1999) around the doors and to tow our small tourer (ABI Dalesman 450/2)
We only tow in and around the North East area & Yorks a few times each month throughout the year.
Fellow caravanners have suggested that it might be worth my while to get the car converted from diesel to LPG.
Would I gain much benefit from this type of conversion, especially as the Volvo is a 99'?
Is it a costly job to get done?
I would appreciate your views please?
Also, the service light has stayed on for some time now, through mot, service and other work! Is there any way of switching it off? Lol
Cheers, Paul (Washington)

Its possible but its a boatload of messing about. http://www.go-lpg.co.uk/diesel.html
I would go down the route of sell the diesel car to buy an LPG one if your mind is set on it.

In a word "No"

This is because of the lack of Spark Ignition, Diesel engines do not have this.

Also the compression is way too high anyway. Sorry but your stuck with diesel unless you buy a petrol model.

Thanks for the info, that is all the advice I need.
I am more than happy to keep my old V70, best car I have ever owned!
Just sounding out suggestions that were given in good faith.
Once again, thanks to the forum.

If you take the floor out you can trundle it along like the Flintstones. That's very cheap.
